Just because I love to win

Just because I’ve told you a lot
doesn’t mean you’ve walked in my shoes

Just because I look like I know
doesn’t mean I always understand

Just because I always look for the good
doesn’t mean I don’t see the bad

Just because my heart is whole
doesn’t mean it never breaks

Just because I show you my best
doesn’t mean that I am fake

Just because I love a lot
doesn’t mean I am not hated

Just because I’ve received a blessing
doesn’t mean I haven’t waited

Just because there is an elevator
doesn’t mean I won’t take the stairs

Just because I pray for you
doesn’t mean I don’t need your prayers

Just because I don’t give up
doesn’t mean I don’t feel like it sometimes

Just because it worked
doesn’t mean it didn’t take 100 tries

Just because I’m standing
doesn’t mean I’m not always on my knees

Just because I doubt sometimes
doesn’t meant I don’t truly believe

Just because I’m never perfect
doesn’t mean I’m never ready

Just because I carry it well
doesn’t mean it’s not heavy

Just because I give a lot
doesn’t mean I don’t have needs

Just because you don’t see my garden
doesn’t mean I haven’t planted the seeds

Just because I’m bold
doesn’t mean I face no fear

Just because I smile a lot
doesn’t mean I shed no tears

Just because I’ve conquered
doesn’t mean I do t have scars

Just because it looks easy
doesn’t mean that it’s not hard.

Beckah Shae is a two-time Dove Award Nominee, 2014’s We Love Christian Music Awards independent artist of the year and won 2017’s JFH Awards for Christmas Album of the Year.  She’s accumulated several top 10 Billboard charting radio singles and have had her music featured in multiple Award-winning TV Shows and commercials. Beckah Shae works alongside her husband, Jack Shocklee, who is her music producer and manager.  They have 3 young daughters, Joy, Grace, and Hope.  Their family currently lives in Nashville, TN.
